Booking Terms and Agreements for the Gradwell House Recording Studio: Complete and return this agreement back to: gradwellhouse@hotmail.com to secure your scheduled session time. It is your responsibility to make sure the studio gets this form from you. (copy and paste is into an email and fill it out) Booking session time via Email, Phone or AIM will signify your agreement to the below list of term & conditions. Make sure you goto http://gradwellhouse.com and read the FAQ page. Name(band name & representative name): Dates and Times(start and stop times): Contact Info(phone #): The following are points of agreement between artist and studio once time is booked. 1. The artist is required to pay for all time booked from agreed starting time to actual finishing time of each session, including all breaks(lunch/dinner/smoking/etc...). example: if a session is booked for the time of 2pm until 10pm and the artist arrives at 3pm, takes an hour dinner break and leaves at 9pm the artist is required to pay for seven hours of session time. 2pm is the agreed starting time therefore the artist is required to pay for the time between 2 pm and the actual session ending time of 9pm. no break times are exempt from billing. 2. The actual session time paid for must be a minimum of one half of the booked session time. example: if artist books an eight hour session but only uses two hours of the eight booked the artist is responsible for four (half of eight) hours of payment as a minimum. 3. Payment for each session is required in full, in cash at the end of each daily session. example: if recording on a Monday for eight hours you are required to pay for all eight hours in cash at the end of Monday's session. 4. If booking a session or multiple sessions totalling more than eight hours, a deposit of fifty percent of estimated total cost is required fourteen days prior to first session to secure requested dates. If deposit is not recieved fourteen days prior to booked session the session will be considered cancelled. If session is cancelled by the artist with less then seven days notice, the artist forfeits the deposit in full, if session is cancelled with less than fourteen days notice and more than seven days notice the deposit may be applied to holding dates for future sessions but deposit will not be refunded to artist until those sessions are completed. example: If booking twenty hours of recording at twenty five dollars an hour the estimated total cost is five hundred dollars; a two hundred and fifty dollar deposit is required fourteen days prior to first booked session to reserve time . 5. The studio reserves the right to cancel sessions when the artist is more than an hour late with no notice. example: your session start time is 3pm and you do not show up until 4:15pm without contacting the studio to let us know. The studio can choose to cancel the remaining session for that day and apply half of that sessions cost to any subsequent sessions that you book. We consider "contacting the studio" to be a phone call or email before the start time of your session. we understand that sometimes traffic and weather can make you late, but everyone in the world has a cel phone right? 856 310 5554, write it down. 6. For sessions that are not secured with a deposit: If the artist fails to arrive for a booked session half of that sessions cost will be applied to any subsequent bookings. example: If artist books monday 3pm-8pm and tuesday 3pm-8pm but does not arrive mondays session the studio reserves the right to apply a two and a half hour fee (1/2 of mondays session) to tuesdays cost. 7. No deposit taken will be refunded until after the last date of the sessions the deposit was intended to secure. example: if a deposits was given to secure session time for may 6th-10th and the artist wishes to cancel sessions (with more than 14 days notice) no deposit willbe refunded until after may 10th. 8. The Gradwell House is not resposible for any equipment left at the studio after daily sessions are completed. Under no circumstances can equipment be stored in the studio overnight or between sessions. 9. No alcohol or Drugs of any kind are permitted at anytime. We dont care how old you are. 10. The artist is resposible for all costs of blank media. example: cds and DATs used for final master recording are not covered by studio's hourly charge. You may bring your own hard drive or blank media for recording or back-ups. 11. The Hard drive space used for recording belongs to The Gradwell House. All sessions recorded on these harddrives are subject to deletion ten days after the final mixing session. Any back-up copies of the artists material is soley their resposibility. DVD back-ups may be arranged for a $25 fee at any recording/mixing session. Your music will be deleted if you don't get back-up copies!!!
